Abstract [en]

This project is comprised of a bachelor thesis authored at Karlstads Universitet on behalf of Camatec AB, a consulting firm specializing in the process industry. The goal of the project was to create manufacturing guidelines for a hydraulic security system that qualifies for PLr-d. The development process began with a pilot study followed by a concept and finally construction of the product. Throughout the project, certain limitations due to time and scope constraints were required: a prototype was not built and no cost estimate was calculated for the finished system. The project resulted in a CAD model, plans for the hydraulic system and manufacturing schematics for the different parts. Further development and what needs to be done to make the finished product viable for sale is also discussed and covered.
