Abstract [sv]

Syftet med studien var att undersöka rektorers upplevelser om digitaliseringen på restaurang- och livsmedelsprogrammet och hotell-, restaurang- och bageriprogrammet, metoden för studien genomfördes med kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer. Analysarbetet genomfördes med utgångspunkt ur en fenomenografisk ansats. Studiens frågeställningar är: 

  • Vilka hinder stöter rektorerna på vid arbetet med att implementera digital teknik i undervisningen?
  • Hur tänker rektorerna om digitaliseringen på restaurang- och livsmedelsprogrammen och hotell, restaurang och bageri?

Resultat utmynnade i fem beskrivningskategorier om fenomenet digitaliseringen, beskrivningskategorierna blev följande:

Digitaliseringens inverkan på utbildningenDigitaliseringens inverkan på lärare Rektorernas inverkan på digitaliseringen Digitaliseringens inverkan på eleverna Digitaliseringens inverkan på det framtida yrket

Slutsatsen blev att rektorernas olika upplevelser om digitaliseringen kan påverka hur rektorerna väljer att leda och samordna det digitaliserande arbetet i skolan, denna variation kan få konsekvenser för hur likvärdig utbildningen kommer att bli på sikt.

Abstract [en]

The purpose of the study was to investigate the principals' experiences of the digitalization of the RL and HRB program. The method of the study was qualitative semistructured interviews. The analysis was performed with a phenomenological approach. The study's main questions are:

• What obstacles do the principals' encounter in the work of implementing digital technology in teaching?• What are the principals' thoughts about the digitalization of the RL and HRB program?

The results lead to five description categories about the phenomenon of digitalization in the RL and HRB program. The description categories are as follows:

• The impact of digitalization on education• The impact of digitalization on teachers • The impact of principals on digitalization • The impact of digitalization on the students • The impact of digitalization on the future profession

The conclusion was that the principals' different experiences about digitization can affect how the principals choose to lead and coordinate the digitization work at the schools. This variation in interpretations can have consequences for how equal education will be in the long term.
