Abstract [en]

This thesis has aimed to develop an application that helps people remember to taketheir medicine on time. The applications main function is to notify the user when it's time to take their medicine. The target users for this app is people that consumes several dos of medicine each day which in this case is older people and people that have troubles remembering to take their medicine on time.The challenge was to design a useful interface that even people with limited technical knowledge can use it. However, the acceptance of the application was to have satisfied users that can use all the functionalities that the application has to offer.The required experience was gathered from user interviews and usability-testsessions. Design principals of user-driven development was applied to insure the maximum usability and minimum complexity for using the functions. The Evaluation of all these sessions resulted to a mobile application that has beentested by target users. Results from users shows us improvements in the daily dosetaking making it much easier for the users remembering to take their medicine ontime. All together resulted to a great usability experience making it easy to use thetechnology to simplify people's daily tasks
