Automatisk upptäckt av konfiguration för konsumentutrustning (Swedish)
Abstract [en]

Networking devices and other internet-enabled hardware require configuration to work correctly and manually configuring each and every device is expensive and slow. In order to relieve these problems, the concept of automatic configuration was conceived. For this to be possible, a device must be able to not only find the location of the host keeping the configuration but also negotiate how the configuration will take place. In this paper, two new protocols are proposed to resolve configuration servers for the device to negotiate with and the negotiation protocol to arrange the actual configuration procedure. Additionally a business model is presented in order to structure and maintain the system supplementing existing production and sales.

Nätverksenheter och annan utrustning kapabel att kommunicera över internet kräver konfiguration för att fungera som planerat. Att manuellt konfigurera varje enhet är dock både dyrt och tidsödande. Konceptet av automatisk konfigurering föddes för att lindra dessa problem. För att möjliggöra automatisk konfiguration så måste enheter både finna den dator som håller i konfigurationen och förhandla hur den skall gå till väga för att utföra sagd konfiguration. I denna rapporten presenteras två nya protokoll för att finna konfigurationsservrar och för att förhandla med denne om hur konfigurationsproceduren skall genomföras. Utöver detta så presenteras också en affärsmodell för att upprätthålla systemets struktur i samband med produktion och försäljning.
