En beräkningsmodell för studier av ljud och vibrationer från motorblock har tagits fram på Volvo Powertrain. Beräkningsavdelningen på Volvo CE vill göra en studie av hur bra överensstämmelse med verkligheten man kan få när man tittar på vibrationer på komponenter monterade på motorn. En vibrationsmätning görs i rigg och denna jämförs med motsvarande körning av modellen, arbetet går bland annat ut på att hitta ett lämpligt värde på dämpningen i modellen. Olika metoder diskuteras för att optimera denna.

Abstract [en]

A simulation model of sound and vibrations radiated from the engine block has been developed by Volvo Powertrain. The simulation department at Volvo CE wants to do a study of the correlation with the reality when looking at vibrations of components mounted on the engine. A vibration measurement is made in a test cell and is compared to corresponding runs in the model; one of the tasks is to find an optimal value of the damping in the model. Different methods to optimize the damping are discussed.
