Abstract [sv]

Denna studie intresserar sig för mellanstadieelevers upplevelser av användandet av digital teknik i matematikundervisningen. En kvantitativ enkätundersökning av 239 elever ligger till grund för resultaten. Resultaten visar en övervägande positiv syn på användningen av datorer eller surfplattor i matematikundervisningen, men också att det finns potentialer som kan utvecklas. Användandet av digitala teknik var begränsat till nästan uteslutande färdighetsträning och inte heller i flera varianter. Här finns en stor potential i att använda digital teknik på flera sätt i undervisningen, exempelvis vid visualisering. Eleverna svarade också att programmen är lätta och att det var bra vilket senare diskuteras. I diskussionen tas även upp hur variationer i undervisningen med digital teknik ser ut och att en del av eleverna svarat att de saknar en röd tråd i undervisningen.

Abstract [en]

This study is interested in students´ experience of digital technology in mathematics education. A quantitative survey of 239 students is the basis for the results. The results show a primary positive view on the use of computers or tablets in mathematics education, but also that there are potentials that can be developed. The use of digital technology was limited to almost exclusively skills training and not to any great extent of variants. There is a great potential in the use of digital technology in several ways in the teaching, e.g. visualization. Students also responded that the programs were easy, and that it was good, as later discussed. How variations in teaching with digital technology appears and that some of the students answered that they lack a common thread in teaching, are brought up in the discussion.
