Blogg som verktyg för lärande: En intervjustudie om webbpublicering i klarinettundervisning
2015 (Swedish)Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study is to get a deeper appreciation of pupils estimation regarding how blog as a complement in clarinet education affects their learning and incentive. By this examination I hope to be able to conclude if blogging as a teaching method can improve students incentive and learning by answering my research questions: In which way do pupils experience that the teaching method affects their learning and incentive? In which way do pupils experience that the teaching method could evolve to improve their learning and incentive? The result is hopefully going to be of help in my future profession as a clarinet teacher. The research effort was designed as a qualitative interview study where six clarinet students participated. The theoretical base of the study is social development theory based on the theories of Lev Vygotskij. The results show that pupils experience that blogging affects their incentive and learning mostly in a positive way. By using blog as a tool for learning, the pupils learn from each other and get a deeper appreciation of clarinet playing. They also get to reflect on their playing by listening to recordings of their own work. By using blogging as a tool, the pupils get opportunities to influence their education even more.
