The aim of this study is to create a deeper understanding of educators' work on gender equality in preschool. In order to address the study´s aims we used focus group discussions in which active teams from two different preschools participated as we collected empirical data. The results of our study have shown that the educators work with gender equality on daily basis. They have described what equality means to them and how they work with it to combat and prevent harassment in their preschools. The teachers we met during our focus group discussions have been gender equality-conscious educators who consider themselves active in working with gender awareness and promoting equal value. Something that emerged during our study is that one teacher felt that a lack of knowledge on the subject can create uncertainty as a teacher.
