The purpose with this qualitative research is to create a better understanding regarding employees’ perceptions about strategic human resource management, and the organizations’ employer brand. This study is conducted at an organization in the public sector. The method used in order to collect the data for this study are documents and semi-structured interviews with both managers and employees within the organization. The result indicates that employees’ perceptions regarding the activities connected to human resources are positive, and that SHRM-activities can contribute to the organization’s attractiveness as an employer. The present study contributes to theory on employees’ experiences regarding the connection between SHRM and the organization’s attractiveness as an employer. Practical implication for this study is that strategic HR-activities are an important area for organizations to work with, since it contributes to employees’ experiences about their employer. The organization’s attractiveness as an employer depends on employees experiences and also how the employees contributes to their employer´s reputation on the labor market.
