Out of the many strategies to reduce fuel consumption Eco-driving is gaining importance worldwide. It’s about changing a person’s driving behavior by providing some kind of advice to the driver. The Following master’s thesis is about giving these advices in real time so that it would consume less fuel while driving. We have worked on an algorithm which is meant to reduce the fuel consumption of users. The algorithm is deployed in an android application.Our application “Smartdrive” is aimed at users with cars. It is basically like a voice assistant, suggesting the user when he should make the right gear changes, so as to drive economically and in turn save money. This is a smart way of letting a user drive economically since almost everyone as of now has an android smart phone. By using android device and Bluetooth communication we have made it comfortable and feasible for the users. By means multiple testing and analysis we have made an application which is fuel efficient.
