Abstract [en]

IT-based management of information can in many cases be very helpful for organizations, when handling administrative tasks. The roleplaying association Trollborgen today use no unified technical solution when handling information. Today only paperwork can be used for keeping track of members, gaming groups and gaming material, while email are used to spread current news. By the use of a web-based IT-system Trollborgen could easier integrate with its members, and manage their information in a more time-efficient manner. IT-systems can also minimize the risk of problems when managing information concerning members and gaming material. The purpose of this report, while using the OpenUP methodology, is to find out how Trollborgen can become more efficient with its administrative tasks, and to develop a web-based solution, suited for their needs. Requirements were gathered through interviews and studies of how their business works today. This information was first analyzed, and then we began the design of the information system. Use Cases and models were used to describe how the system was supposed to work. After the design was finished, we developed the website and database that Trollborgen currently use.
