Aggressiv av TV- och dataspel?
2012 (Swedish)Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

In December 2011 Statens medieråd published a review of studies about the relationship between violent video games and physical aggression, with the conclusion that such a relationship cannot be demonstrated. Medierådet’s conclusion provoked a debate and it was pointed out that some reviews from expert organizations do show a relation between violent video games and physical aggression. In this thesis the reasons why the reviews did come to different conclusions is investigated in a literature review. The results show that the differences between conclusions may depend on differing purposes, selection criteria, and differences in their assessments.
