Abstract [en]

This master thesis report documents performance measurements of a selection of parsers in a vehicular environment using data transmitted over a wireless link. The thesis proposal was issued by Scania CV AB since there is a need for further studies regarding suitable protocols before a product with a wireless interface can be developed. Once the measurements had been completed, a proof-of-concept prototype was constructed where external devices can communicate with a truck and control a function in the vehicle. This interface allows arbitrary devices to connect wirelessly to Scania's trucks and exchange information, a capability that hasn't existed before.
