The intention of this work has been to investigate how music is used as a tool and method for learning at preschools in a municipality with a music profile. After completing interviews , we collected our empirical data for further analysis and processing and then categorized the core of our study . What emerged in the study's results is that the music is mainly seen as a source of joy , but also as cultural and individual amplifier through individual development , such as self-confidence and self-esteem individually and together with others in a socio- cultural community . Music is considered to be a good tool and a good way to convey knowledge and understanding of other subjects in the pre-school activities , such as theme work and knowledge comprehension in mathematics and language learning. The conclusion of this study is that teachers are aware of the music's development in learning contexts , they also think they should make more use of it as a learning tool in their daily work.
