Abstract [en]

Todays hospitals have a lot of samples; tissue, saliva and blood to mention a few. Thesesamples are stored in refrigerators with little or no monitoring; temperatures being writtendown by hand twice a day to get a backlog are not an uncommon event. This reportdeals with that problem by providing a central monitored cost eective wireless sensorplatform using ZigBee, which is easy to maintain and expand. The thesis was made forthe clinical physiology lab at Sunderbyn hospital.The internal supervisor was Professor Per Lindgren at EISLAB and the external supervisorwas Joachim Barkman at Lansteknik.
