Development of a measurement setup to combine a tactile resonance sensor and a Raman fibreoptic probe to detect prostate cancer

Abstract [en]

In this thesis a measurement setup has been developed to combine a Raman fiberoptic probe and a resonance sensor. To combine these two probes a LabVIEW program was developed which controls a XYZ-stage and a camera. Furthermore probe holders were constructed that firmly but gently fixate the Raman probes. Essential was also the development of a coordinate transfer system to facilitate correlation of measurement results with histopathological analyses of tissue. During the development a setup were made to perform measurements with two different probes fast and comfortable. The final setup has a high precision.
