Robustness analysis and robust optimization of an advanced flight controller based on dynamic inversion

Abstract [en]

This work deals with finding the appropriate gains for the flight controller to satisfy the specific requirements and to check how this controller is robust to different uncertainties. Its necessary to reduce the present complexity of the Flight Control Systems (F.C.S.) to have better performance, handling qualities & cost reduction. Dynamic Inversion is an excellent tool to achieve this task. The inner loop controllers is based on Dynamic Inversion which provides decoupling between the nonlinearities inside the model and there by reducing system complexity .Gains of the inner controller were optimized and the robustness of the controller was tested under various uncertainties.
