Abstract [en]

The adoption of EPR has become a major concern in the healthcare industry, as it is a key factor to the healthcare quality improvement. Today, despite the immense investment in EPR systems in hospitals, these systems are not used by the clinical staff in most Iranian hospitals. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of the factors affecting Iranian hospitals´ staff intention to use EPR. The findings provide strong empirical support for most of the main constructs mentioned in the research model, which posits five direct determinants of intention to use EPR as follow: performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions and personal innovativeness in IT.
