The purpose of this study was to find out the legal guardians view of their participation and influence in preschool. The study investigated how the caregivers perceived the concepts and how teachers work with these concepts could be developed. The study also investigated how the guardians wanted to develop their opportunities for participation and influence in preschool. The study was based on a quantitative survey as guardians at a select preschool. 26 surveys came in. The results of these surveys showed that some legal guardians wished to have the participation and influence in the activity and that they were aware of what the terms meant. Seven out of 26 wanted more influence and participation, while the others were satisfied in the present situation. There were even a few who did not feel the need for it but they were aware that the possibility existed. Legal guardians were generally satisfied with the activity and felt the teachers did a great job. They even came with many proposals for improvement to the teachers on how to develop work in this area.
