This essay aims to examine how managers within the municipality of Luleå are engaging in preventive work against workplace bullying. In this study eight managers within the municipality of Luleå were interviewed to find out how the managers’ knowledge about the subject was and how they were relating to it. I have used the theoretical concepts of Bourdieu’s field, habitus and the different forms of capital and the theoretical concepts of organizational culture and leadership. By using previous research that involves leadership and organization, communication and participation I have been able to analyse common features from the empirical material and made conclusions from this analyse.
