Abstract [en]

This document describes a mathematical method and work procedure to create a fast and simple approximation function to a detailed dynamic model. The method is applied on a common type of rolling bearing, but works in general for many mechanical systems. The method consists of five parts where in this context the last part consists of a B-spline method for table lookup. The document also includes a discussion about the possibility of using genetic programming as a method for table lookup. The work procedure is by no means fully developed but illustrates a possible course of action to get a fast and simple approximation function.
