För och nackdelar med webbaserade instrumentallektioner: En studie i pedagogers och elevers uppfattningar om instrumentalundervisning via internet
2012 (Swedish)Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

The purpose of the study was to investigate how instrumental teachers and students look on web-based instrumental lessons. The research questions are directed to examine the differences and what the advantages and disadvantages that exist between traditional and Web-based instrumental tuition. The survey was conducted through interviews with two active instrumental teachers and four students. The results of these interviews show that neither teachers or students see major differences between the different teaching styles. The geographical independence is considered the main advantage of Web-based lessons, while the delay of the sound that occurs in communication over the Internet is considered the biggest drawback. The informants also feel that the meaning of physical space changes when the teaching is done over the internet instead of a classroom. They also feel that the quality of the technical tools is important for the web-based teaching.
