Rock’n’roll: En studie av roller i ensembleundervisning
2013 (Swedish)Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

This case study addresses the subject of roles in a specific ensemble based on given role functions. Our informants in the ensemble have consisted of students from a pre- college education. The study is based on a qualitative research method in the form of observations. The processing of the recorded observations has been made through transcription and analysis of this. Our study will hopefully give practicing ensemble teachers’ tools and insight to the formation of group processes in an ensemble. The main results of our work have been the fact that it is possible to identify roles based on our given role functions, and it is possible to discern a pattern of role taking.
