Abstract [en]

In this thesis it is examined through a literature review if there is scientific evidence that yoga can help prevent stress among college students at examinations and an attempt to explain the stress reducing effect of yoga is done through using KASAM. The results of six experimental evaluations, which are published in journals with peer review show that yoga relieves both psychological and physiological stress in examination situations. This is consistent with previous research, where the effects of yoga in other situations for other types of subjects are studied. The small number of studies and some methodological deficiencies of existing studies justify that further research is carried out before a definite conclusion about the effect of yoga on exam stress can be drawn.
