The Moderate Party, the Centre Party, the Liberal Party and the Christian Democrats in Sweden have since 2004 had formalized a partnership under the name "Alliansen". Since 2006 they are also in government. Some coalition formation research indicates values as an important basis for coalition formation. The purpose of this paper is to analyze "Alliansens" constituent parts, their core values and the similarities and differences between the them. The result are then are compared against the basic coalition formation theories. To measure the parties' ideologies, has a quantitative text analysis been conducted. The analysis is based on Schwartz's theory of values and has been used to create ideological profiles for both the Alliance as a whole and the constituent parties. The survey shows that the Moderate Party, who are "Alliansens" biggest party has an almost identical ideological profile "Alliansen" as a whole. The other parties stand out with individual values, the Centre Party universalism and stimulation, the Liberal Party and the Christian Democrats with stimulation with tradition / uniformity. The survey also shows that the Green Party is close to "Alliansen" ideologically.
