The Sun's activity varies with time. The most obvious period is the one of 11 years between twominimas. The degree of maximum activity between the minimas varies from period to period. The thesis will answer the question if there can be more and longer periods in the solar activity or if the sets are random or chaotic. The investigations are made by analyzing daily solar data in a chaos data analyzer computer program and see what results come out of the tests. The results shows signs of a chaotic behavior with small signs of a period. This period is the 11 year solar cycle. In the set of geomagnetic data it was more mysterious with signs of three periods. One is the solar period but how about the other two? This could be a further study.
