Abstract [en]

The purpose with this study was to describe and problematize the factors that either favour or complicate the concentration ability in a classroom situation from a critical perspective. We wanted to find out what teachers think of and act with these problems. We have, through academic research, immersed in different theories that concern concentration, both as an ability, and as a difficulty. These background studies also touched upon the underlying factors and pedagogical perspectives. This study has concerned the above mentioned research, along with interviews and observations of active teachers in the primary and middle school. A qualitative study is implemented, and the results show that teachers' awareness, good will and broad knowledge of these problems. We analysed our data collection through the theories and perspectives. We also found out that the organization of the school is what prevents teachers to use the resources they have gathered in accordance with their expertise and experience.
