#Förskolan #webben och #utvecklingen: En studie om pedagogers uppfattningar kring dokumentation som publiceras på Internet
2015 (Swedish)Independent thesis Basic level (professional degree), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

The purpose of our study is to examine the extent to which preschool teachers use Internet to publish documentation of children in the preschool community and how children participate in the process of documentation. Our goal is to understand preschool teachers’ view of documentation published on the Internet. Furthermore, we aim to add an aspect to children’s participation in the process of documentation, both concerning documentation that is published on the Internet and documentation which stays within the preschool. To capture the extent of preschool teachers’ usage of Internet in preschool and their view on documentation we used 63 pedagogues’ in a survey questionnaire. The results show that documentation is published on the Internet on sites which are open to the public as well as on sites that are closed to the public. An important conclusion is that children are not always participating in the process of documentation and in the selection of material that is published on the Internet. Another important view that is missing is that some preschool teachers do not always think about the socio-economic conditions that exist in Sweden. The consequence of this can be that children or legal guardians do not get to participate in the documentation because of different conditions in their household as for example no access to the Internet.
