Visuell styrning med en dynamisk APD-plan
2015 (Swedish)Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

Quality and safety issues occur frequently in construction. This is largely due to the lack of communication between the various actors on the construction site. Also, the mismanagement of material on the construction site due to lack of communication can be costly for the contractor. Here, visual aids can contribute to a better communication and information flow and thus a more profitable and safer construction site. This study aims to investigate APD plans with the goal of increasing the use of dynamic APD plans for the use in visual production control systems. Two theoretical areas has been investigated, the use of visual methods for production control and dynamic APD plans. A case study was conducted using interviews regarding the role of APD plan's in on-site production. The results of the interviews and case studies were analyzed and compared with the theory from which conclusions could be drawn regarding the APD plan's impact on the studied company's prospects to achieve their vision. The conclusions resulted in a practical suggestion for Skanska, the study commissioning body. The proposal is a visual model for communication of on-site production plans using the dynamic APD plan in the center surrounded by different plans of work documents. The study shows that an improved production management with a dynamic APD plan can improve the work conditions on-site.
