Syftet med studien är att bidra till kunskap om kommunikationen mellan kvinnor som är utsatta för hedersrelaterat våld och socialtjänsten. Detta undersöker vi genom erfarenheter hos yrkesverksamma som dagligen möter dessa kvinnor på skyddade boenden och/eller på kvinnojourer. För att uppnå studiens syfte preciseras följande frågeställningar: (1) Vilken erfarenhet har de yrkesverksamma av kommunikationen mellan kvinnorna och socialsekreterare inom socialtjänsten? (2) Vilka maktfaktorer ur ett intersektionellt perspektiv har betydelse för kommunikationen? och (3) Vilken betydelse kan dessa maktfaktorer ha för utformningen av socialtjänstens insatser för dessa kvinnor? Studien bygger på kvalitativa, semistrukturerade, intervjuer med 3 informanter från antingen skyddat boende eller kvinnojour. Studiens resultat uppvisade att hedersrelaterat våld är ett komplext arbetsområde, där det kan ses som en utmaning för socialtjänsten och skyddade boenden att genomföra långsiktiga planer för kvinnans placering och hur yrkesverksamma på rätt sätt kan tillgodose hennes specifika behov. Studiens resultat visade också att det finns en betydande brist på information som kommuniceras till kvinnan om hennes placering och hennes unika situation av socialtjänsten.

The purpose of the study is to contribute to knowledge about the communication between women who are exposed to honor-related violence and social services. We investigate this through the experiences of professionals who meet these women on a daily basis in sheltered accommodation and/or in women's shelters. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the following questions are specified: (1) What experience do the professionals have of the communication between the women and social workers in social services? (2) Which power factors from an intersectional perspective are important for communication? and (3) What significance can these power factors have for the design of the social services' efforts for these women? The study is based on qualitative, semi-structured interviews with 3 informants from either sheltered housing or women's shelters. The results of the study showed that honor-related violence is a complex area of work, where it can be seen as a challenge for social services and sheltered housing to implement long-term plans for the woman's placement and how professionals can properly meet her specific needs. The results of the study also showed that there is a significant lack of information communicated to the woman about her location and her unique situation by social services.
